We organized a career panel where three female mathematicians – Kerstin Blomenhofer from the Versicherungskammer Bayern, Birgit Sommer from the Goethe-Gymnasium Regensburg, and Prof. Dr. Clara Löh from the University of Regensburg – shared their career experiences with us.

In this workshop by Claudia Agar we focused on our own voice: We improved our ability to speak warmly and clearly and learned how to maintain a confident and strong voice even in difficult situations using breathing techniques.


June 11th, 2025: Talk at Università di Milano-Bicocca

Our group was invited to give a talk about some current issues regarding gender diversity and inclusivity in mathematics. Chiara Sabadin provided powerful insights on the topic and led a discussion on the theme among the PhD students and faculty members of Milano Bicocca.

December 9th, 2025: Putting first things first

Your research matters – but so do you! This was the motto of our workshop by Francesca Carlin about stress management, resilience, and prioritization. We learned practical tools to better organize our tasks and how to protect our personal boundaries.


January 14th, 2026: Tell me your math story!

We invited three mathematicians for a career panel: Dr. Magdalena Lottner from Vector Informatik GmbH, Prof. Dr. Anca Matioc from the University of Regensburg and Dr. Stefan Stadlöder from the Katharinen-Gymnasium Ingolstadt. They told us about their everyday work, how they balance personal life and work and gave advice on job applications.

February 2nd, 2026: Talk in Padova

On the occasion of the International Women and Girls in Science Day, Chiara Sabadin gave a talk at the University of Padova. The talk focused on some current issues regarding gender diversity and inclusivity in mahtematics.
